Elkader Carpet & Design Center is a family business in that it was founded in 1987 by Alyce Hunt. Alyce had worked in the design field for a large, local furniture and flooring business for over —— years before going out on her own. Alyce’s daughter Beth (me) is the current owner and had been in the family business for 19 years.

Becky Olson, design team and sales associate, joined the Elkader Carpet & Design Center in 1997. Raymond Piorkowski and Romuald Piorkowski, installation technicians, have been with ECDC since its founding date.

At Elkader Carpet & Design Center, we have a sincere interest in partnering with you to find the solution to your decorating needs and design desires. We have a complete selection of interior products to achieve those results and a firm knowledge of the products that will not only appeal to you visually but create a personal space that works the best for your lifestyle.

Both myself and Becky are lifelong residence of the rural North East Iowa community. We love meeting new people and enjoy the challenges that our careers bring us. We have a showroom full of furniture, unique lamps, framed prints, mirrors and decorating accessories at our Mulberry Street address. In addition, you can search our in stock selections of wallpaper or through dozens of books and find just the right paint color to coordinate.

We measure and estimate for flooring and window treatments of all kinds. We arrange for installation and delivery. We make it easy for you!
